F722 flight controllers use the STM32F722 processor — the F7 generation that became the FPV default before H743: 216MHz, more UARTs than an F4, and inverted-signal handling on every port so SBUS and SmartPort receivers wire straight in. This page collects every F722 board in our Flight Controllers range, from 20×20 mini boards for 3–4 inch quads to 30.5×30.5 boards with built-in VTX or HD air-unit wiring. Pick by mount size and UART count first; every board here runs current Betaflight.
How to choose an F722 board
- Mount: 20×20mm minis for 3–4 inch and compact 5-inch builds; 30.5×30.5mm for standard 5–7 inch stacks.
- UARTs: usually 5–6 — enough for receiver, GPS, an HD air unit and VTX control with one spare.
- Gyro: MPU6000 for the classic tune, ICM42688P for high loop rates, BMI270 on some budget boards.
- Extras: some boards integrate a VTX or a receiver (Borg 5S RX), others add barometer and blackbox flash; wing boards (BotWing F722) add servo outputs and INAV/ArduPilot targets.
- Input voltage: 2–6S on nearly all; some 30×30 boards accept up to 8S.
What we stock
20×20 minis: the iFlight BLITZ Mini F7 (V1.1 and V1.2), SucceX-D Mini F7 and Borg F7 Mini, the T-Motor Mini F7 (with HD, VTX and VTX switch) and Mini Racer F7, the HGLRC Specter F722 Mini, the Foxeer F722 V4 Mini, the Skystars F722 Mini HD Pro and the AxisFlying Argus Mini F7. 30.5×30.5: the T-Motor F7 HD, the Skystars F722 HD Pro4 and the Radiolink F722. The iFlight Borg 5S RX integrates a receiver, and the Botlab Dynamics BotWing F722 is a solderless fixed-wing controller made in India.
Compatibility
Every F722 board runs Betaflight 4.5 with all filters and a digital video system; the wing boards also run INAV and ArduPilot. Check the pad layout against your ESC (a 4-in-1 ESC with a matching plug saves soldering) and confirm the camera/VTX voltage pads if you run analog. Boards with a built-in VTX still need an antenna and a UART-connected receiver.
Frequently asked questions
- Is F722 better than H743?
- H743 is faster (480MHz) with more UARTs and dual gyros on some boards; F722 is cheaper and still runs everything in Betaflight 4.5 without compromise. For 5-inch freestyle either works; choose H743 for maximum headroom or ArduPilot builds.
- Do F722 boards need a signal inverter for SBUS?
- No. Unlike F405, the F7 series handles inverted signals on every UART, so SBUS and SmartPort receivers connect to any free UART directly.
- Can I use a 20×20 F722 on a 5-inch quad?
- Yes, with a 20×20 ESC or a frame that has a 20×20 stack mount. Many 5-inch frames offer both patterns; check the frame listing.
