2306 motors have a 23mm-wide, 6mm-tall stator and are the lighter, quicker-responding alternative to 2207 on a 5-inch quad, favoured for racing and light freestyle builds. How to choose a 2306 motor
Compared with a 2207, a 2306 spins up faster and weighs a few grams less, at the cost of a little low-end torque on heavy props. On a sub-600g racer or a 5-inch freestyle quad on light tri-blades that is the right trade.
- KV: 1700–1960KV on 6S, 2300–2600KV on 4S. Higher KV in the same voltage means more RPM, more current and more heat.
- Weight: 28–34g per motor; four motors are the largest single weight after the battery.
- Bearings and bell: unibell designs and larger bearings survive more crashes; check the listing for shaft type (5mm threaded or T-mount).
- Wire length: 15cm leads suit most 5-inch frames; shorter leads mean extension on stretched-X frames.

Compatibility
Every 2306 here uses the 16×16mm mount pattern found on 5-inch frames and a 5mm shaft for standard 5-inch props. Pair them with a 4-in-1 ESC of 45–60A per motor for 6S freestyle; a 2306 at 1950KV on a 5.1×4.8 tri-blade peaks around 40–45A.
Match KV to pack voltage: a 1750KV 6S motor on 4S is sluggish, and a 2450KV 4S motor on 6S will overheat within a pack.
