Product details

A 256x192 thermal camera from Axisflying with analog video output, so it feeds an existing analog VTX on an FPV drone. Its uncooled VOx detector images heat rather than light, which suits night search and rescue, building and machinery inspection, and crop-stress surveys. At 22g it fits small airframes where a gimballed thermal payload would be too heavy.

Key features

  • VOx uncooled detector: 12µm pixel pitch in the 8-14µm long-wave infrared band, working in complete darkness.
  • Analog output: wires to an analog VTX or DVR like a standard FPV camera.
  • Image correction: automatic, manual and background correction modes keep the thermal image uniform.
  • Low power: 0.4W at 6V across a 6-24V input range.
  • Compact body: 24 x 24 x 27.9mm.

Specifications

  • Resolution: 256 x 192
  • Detector: Uncooled VOx
  • Pixel pitch: 12 µm
  • Spectral range: 8-14 µm
  • Frame rate: 25Hz
  • Focus: Manual
  • Video output: Analog
  • Input voltage: 6-24V DC
  • Power consumption: 0.4W at 6V
  • Operating temperature: -20°C to +50°C
  • Weight: 22 g
  • Dimensions: 24.0 x 24.0 x 27.9 mm

A full 6S pack (25.2V) exceeds the 24V limit, so feed it from a regulated BEC rail on 6S builds. The 25Hz frame rate suits scanning and inspection rather than fast proximity flying; consider pairing it with a day camera through a video switcher.
