Product details
The Waveshare OV5693 is a 5-megapixel USB camera module built around the OmniVision OV5693 sensor, aimed at companion-computer and machine-vision work on Raspberry Pi, Jetson and similar boards. It plugs in as a standard USB 2.0 UVC device, so most Linux vision stacks recognise it without extra drivers, and the M12 mount accepts interchangeable lenses for a wider or narrower field of view.
Key features
- OV5693 1/4-inch sensor delivering 2592 × 1944 stills and several lower-resolution video modes in MJPG or YUY2
- M12 lens mount, so the lens can be swapped for a different focal length or field of view
- 135°(D) / 95°(H) / 70°(V) field of view with an f/2.1 aperture on the supplied lens
- Onboard dual microphones for synchronised audio capture alongside video
- Runs from USB power alone — 5V at up to 500mA, no separate supply needed
