The Mateksys AP_Periph Node-CAN-G474 adapter allows you to integrate standard serial, I2C, and SPI peripherals into a robust DroneCAN network. Powered by a high-performance STM32G474 MCU, this node translates data from traditional GPS modules, compasses, airspeed sensors, and rangefinders into the CAN protocol. It is a vital tool for complex ArduPilot and PX4 builds where flight controller serial ports are exhausted, or for large-scale and agriculture drones that require noise-resistant data transmission over long wire runs.
Translates standard UART, I2C, and SPI peripherals into the DroneCAN protocol.
Frees up flight controller serial ports by routing multiple sensors through a single CAN bus.
High-headroom STM32G474 MCU (170MHz) processes multiple high-bandwidth peripherals simultaneously without bottlenecking.
Includes 4 independent PWM outputs for driving servos or ESCs directly from the CAN node.
MCU: STM32G474CE (170MHz, 512KB Flash)
CAN transceiver: TJA1051T/3
Supported firmware: ArduPilot AP_Periph (Target: MatekG474-Node)
Hardware interfaces: 1x CAN, 3x UART, 1x I2C, 1x SPI, 4x PWM, 1x ADC
Input voltage: 5V
Connect the node to your flight controller via the CAN bus using a standard JST-GH-4P cable. All connected peripheral routing, parameter configuration, and firmware updates are handled over the bus through Mission Planner or QGroundControl via the DroneCAN GUI.
