Product details

The SpeedyBee TX Ultra is a 5.8GHz analog video transmitter that steps up to 1600mW for long-range and penetration flying, yet weighs only 5.7g with its heatsink. It mounts on a standard 20 x 20mm stack and accepts 7–28V, so it runs straight off a 2–6S battery.

Key features

  • Power levels: PIT, 25mW, 200mW, 400mW, 800mW and 1600mW
  • 48 channels across six bands: Boscam A, B and E, Fatshark, Raceband and Lowrace
  • IRC Tramp control, so band, channel and power change from the radio, the OSD or the SpeedyBee app
  • Pit mode for powering up at busy fields without interfering with other pilots
  • Removable heatsink: 3.2g bare, 5.7g with heatsink
  • MMCX antenna connector and a 5V, 300mA output for the FPV camera

Specifications

  • Frequency: 5.8GHz, 48 channels, 6 bands
  • Output power: PIT / 25 / 200 / 400 / 800 / 1600mW
  • Input voltage: 7–28V (2–6S)
  • Operating current: 90–560mA at 12V
  • Camera output: 5V, 300mA max
  • Video input impedance: 75 ohm
  • Antenna connector: MMCX
  • Mounting: 20 x 20mm, M2
  • Dimensions: 29 x 28 x 6mm
  • Weight: 3.2g bare, 5.7g with heatsink, 7.0g with heatsink and antenna

The box includes an MMCX antenna, an MMCX-to-SMA cable and a 1.0mm 4-pin JST lead. At 1600mW the transmitter heats up quickly on the bench, so use pit mode or a low power level until the quad is airborne, and never power it without an antenna fitted.
