Analog FPV goggles receive the 5.8GHz signal from an analog video transmitter and show it with near-zero latency, which is why analog is still the entry point for FPV and the choice of many racers. This page collects every analog goggle and monitor in our FPV Goggles & Monitors range. Box goggles like the Eachine EV800D are the affordable way in; slim goggles with OLED screens and diversity receivers like the Skyzone SKY04X Pro are what pilots move up to; monitors suit spotters, bench work and fixed-wing flying.
How to choose analog goggles
Every analog goggle shows the same 5.8GHz picture; what changes is how well it holds the signal at range and how comfortable the screen is.
- Receiver: diversity (two antennas, two receivers) holds a cleaner picture than a single receiver; newer modules such as SteadyView and Rapidmix merge both signals and cut static further.
- Screen: OLED panels give deep blacks and fast response; LCD is cheaper. Box goggles use a single large LCD viewed through a lens.
- Field of view and IPD: slim goggles have 35–50° FOV and adjustable interpupillary distance; box goggles are wider and fit over glasses.
- DVR: on-goggle recording is the way to find a downed quad; almost every goggle here has it.
What we stock
Skyzone's SKY04X Pro OLED, SKY04O OLED and SKY02O slim goggles, and the Cobra X V4 (SteadyView receiver) and Cobra SD box goggles; Eachine's EV800D diversity box goggles with DVR, the EV800, EV200D 1280×720 and EV300D; iFlight's FPV goggles with DVR and the SJ RHD430; and for ground use the Eachine 5802D 7-inch and Moneagle 5-inch monitors with 40-channel receivers and the HDZero 4.3-inch monitor, which takes analog as well as HDZero.
Compatibility
Analog goggles work with any 5.8GHz analog VTX — TBS, AKK, HGLRC, RushFPV and the rest — across the standard 40-channel band plan; make sure the VTX and goggles agree on the band and channel. They do not receive DJI, Walksnail or HDZero digital signals, and digital goggles need an analog module to receive analog.
Goggles run on 2S–4S LiPo or Li-ion; a 2S 18650 pack or a purpose-made goggle battery is the usual supply. Fit RHCP antennas to match your VTX's antenna polarisation.
Frequently asked questions
- Analog or digital FPV goggles?
- Analog is cheaper, works with every analog quad and has the lowest latency; the picture is 480p with static at range. Digital (DJI, Walksnail, HDZero) gives an HD picture but ties you to one ecosystem and costs more. Most pilots start analog.
- What is a diversity receiver?
- Two receivers with two antennas; the goggles show whichever signal is stronger, or merge them, so the picture holds up when one antenna is shadowed. Fit one omni and one directional antenna for range.
- Do analog goggles need a battery?
- Yes — a 2S to 4S LiPo or Li-ion pack on an XT30, XT60 or barrel plug depending on the goggle. Box goggles from Eachine have a built-in battery.
