Walksnail Avatar is Caddx's digital FPV system, and the Avatar HD goggles are its headset — 1080p video from any Avatar VTX or air unit, with an analog receiver bay on the X model so one pair covers both systems. This page collects every Walksnail goggle and goggle accessory in our FPV Goggles & Monitors range. Goggles X is the full-featured OLED headset; Goggles L is the lighter, lower-cost option built around the same receiver; both take standard Walksnail antennas and record onboard.
Which Avatar goggles
- Avatar HD Goggles X: dual OLED displays, built-in Walksnail receiver plus an analog module bay, DVR, HDMI in and adjustable dioptres — the flagship for pilots who also fly analog.
- Avatar HD Goggles L: the same Walksnail link in a lighter, more affordable headset without the analog bay; a good first digital goggle.
- Foam: replacement face foam for Goggles X keeps the seal light-tight and restores the fit after a season of use.

Compatibility
Avatar goggles pair with any Walksnail Avatar VTX or air unit — the 1S whoop kits, the Mini/Pro kits for 3–7 inch quads and the fixed-wing Moonlight kit. They do not receive DJI or HDZero. Goggles X can also fly 5.8GHz analog with an analog receiver module fitted. Range and picture quality sit close to DJI O3 with latency around 22–30ms.
Frequently asked questions
- Do Walksnail goggles work with DJI air units?
- No. Walksnail Avatar goggles receive only Avatar VTXs. Each digital system — DJI, Walksnail, HDZero — is closed to the others.
- Goggles X or Goggles L?
- Goggles X if you also fly analog (module bay), want OLED screens and HDMI input. Goggles L if you fly Walksnail only and prefer a lighter, cheaper headset.
- Can I use Walksnail on a tiny whoop?
- Yes — the Avatar 1S whoop VTX/camera kits pair with the same goggles, so one headset covers everything from a 65mm whoop to a 7-inch long-range quad.
