6-inch FPV frames sit between the 5-inch freestyle standard and 7-inch long-range builds: more efficient than a 5-inch on the same 6S battery, still agile enough for freestyle, and with room for a full-size HD air unit and a 1300–1800mAh pack. This page collects every frame in our Frames range built for 6-inch props — freestyle kits, 6-inch cinewhoops with ducts, and cinelifter frames for carrying a full-size camera. How to choose a 6-inch frame
- Purpose: an open freestyle frame (Nazgul Evoque F6, Volador VX6, Vapor-X6) for efficient cruising and freestyle; a ducted cinewhoop (Vapor-D6) for filming close to people and objects; a cinelifter (Proxima 6) to carry a GoPro or larger camera.
- Motors: 6-inch builds usually run 2306–2408 stators around 1700–2000KV on 6S. Check the arm's bolt pattern — 16×16 for smaller motors, 19×19 for 2306 and up.
- Stack mount: 30.5×30.5mm on most; some also take 20×20.
- Camera and video: most current kits are cut for the DJI O4 Pro air unit and a 19–20mm camera; analog fits the same cutouts with adapters.
- Arm thickness: 5–6mm arms survive crashes better; carbon grade (T300 vs T700) affects weight and stiffness.

Compatibility
A 6-inch frame flies best on 6S 1300–1800mAh LiPo or a 6S Li-ion pack for range, with 6-inch three-blade props (6030–6045 class). Reuse of a 5-inch stack, receiver and video system is straightforward — only motors, props and often the battery change. Cinelifters need motors and ESCs rated for the extra payload; see the frame's listing for the recommended motor size.
Frequently asked questions
- 6-inch or 7-inch for long range?
- 7-inch gives the most efficiency and flight time; 6-inch keeps more of a 5-inch's agility while flying 20–30% longer on the same battery. For mixed freestyle and cruising, 6-inch is the compromise.
- Can I use my 5-inch motors on a 6-inch frame?
- Often yes — 2306/2207 motors at 1700–1950KV on 6S handle 6-inch props, but they run warmer and draw more current. Check the motor's max-prop rating and use 6-inch props with modest pitch.
- What battery fits a 6-inch build?
- 6S 1300–1800mAh LiPo for freestyle, or a 6S2P Li-ion pack for range. Most 6-inch frames have a top or bottom battery tray long enough for a 6S 1800mAh.
