Product details

The SparkFun NEO-M9N GPS Breakout is a high-accuracy GNSS receiver board with an SMA antenna connector and Qwiic I2C interface, built around the u-blox NEO-M9N module.

Key features

  • Tracks GPS, GLONASS, Galileo and BeiDou constellations concurrently across a 92-channel receiver for around 1.5m horizontal accuracy.
  • Qwiic connector allows a solder-free I2C link to a host board, while breadboard-friendly 0.1in pins remain broken out.
  • An onboard rechargeable battery backs up the module's clock, giving hot starts in about 2 seconds versus a 24-second cold start.
  • Built-in SAW filter and LNA reject RF interference, and the module can report jamming or spoofing events to the host.
  • Supports NMEA, UBX and RTCM protocols over UART or I2C, covering most flight-controller and telemetry integrations.

Specifications

  • GNSS chipset: u-blox NEO-M9N
  • Channels: 92
  • Horizontal accuracy: approx. 1.5m
  • Max update rate: 25 Hz
  • Cold start: approx. 24s
  • Hot start: approx. 2s
  • Supply: 3.3V
  • Current draw: approx. 31 mA (GPS + GLONASS tracking)
