The KD Drones KD9 is a 9-inch X8 cinelifter frame built around a unique I-beam layout of vertical arms clamped between two continuous carbon plates, designed to carry cinema cameras such as the RED Komodo, Sony FX6 or Freefly Ember.
Key features
- X8 motor layout for redundancy and lift on camera payloads, and can also be run as an X4 by fitting four motors instead of eight.
- Bottom-mounted battery with an integrated battery plate that doubles as landing gear, keeping the centre of gravity low.
- KDCM/DAC camera mount holes sit centred and slightly forward, reaching 10 degrees of tilt prop-free on a 9mm lens and 0 degrees on a 15mm lens.
- Generous internal space with multiple 30.5x30.5, 20x20 and 25.5x25.5mm stack/VTX mounting points and zip-tie slots for tidy wiring.
