2807 motors carry a 28mm-wide, 7mm-tall stator and are the common motor for 7-inch long range quads, with the torque to swing a 7×3.5 tri-blade efficiently at cruising throttle. How to choose a 2807 motor
A 7-inch build cruises at 20–40% throttle for most of the flight, so a 2807 is chosen for efficiency and heat at low load rather than peak thrust. Lower KV on a higher-voltage pack is the efficient combination.
- KV: 1300–1350KV on 6S LiPo is the standard long range pairing; 1050–1100KV suits 8S or 6S Li-ion packs, which sag lower.
- Weight: 50–60g per motor. On a 7-inch build the battery still dominates, so pick for bearings and efficiency over grams.
- Mount: 19×19mm M3 pattern, matching 7-inch frame arms; many also drill for 16×16mm.
- Shaft: 5mm threaded shafts fit standard 7-inch props with M5 nuts.

Compatibility
Pair 2807 motors with a 4-in-1 ESC of 45–60A per motor; peak current on a 7×3.5 tri-blade at 6S is around 35–45A, but a long range ESC should also survive sustained mid-throttle loads. Use 12AWG battery leads for 6S 3000mAh+ LiPo packs.
Props of 7×3.5 to 7×4 with three blades are the usual match; two-blade 7-inch props on a 1050–1100KV motor give the longest flight times on Li-ion.
