Product details
Passive buzzer and illuminated safety switch for Pixhawk-family flight controllers running ArduPilot or PX4. The buzzer plays distinct tones for arming, flight-mode changes and warnings, while the safety switch has to be pressed before the motors can arm — a physical interlock for multirotors, planes and VTOLs.
Key features
- Passive buzzer rated at about 50 dB, driven directly from the flight controller's buzzer port with no separate power
- Different sounds for different modes and states, so you can read the board's status without a ground station
- Safety switch with a built-in status LED that shows whether the outputs are locked or live
- Follows the original Pixhawk design: 1.25 mm pitch 2-pin plug on the buzzer, 3-pin plug on the switch
Specifications
- Buzzer type: Passive
- Volume: 50 dB
- Buzzer plug: 1.25 mm pitch, 2-pin
- Switch plug: 3-pin
- Switch indicator: Status LED
- Package: 1 × buzzer, 1 × safety switch
These plug into the separate BUZZER and SWITCH ports found on Pixhawk 2.4.8-style boards. Newer controllers that route the buzzer and switch through the GPS connector, such as Pixhawk 4 and the Pixhawk 6 series, need a GPS module with the switch and buzzer built in instead.
