Product details

The Holybro Microhard P400 V2 is a long-range telemetry radio for ArduPilot and PX4 aircraft, built on Microhard's Pico Series RF module and working in the 410–480 MHz band. It carries telemetry, mission uploads and parameter changes between the aircraft and the ground station, with transmit power adjustable in software from 100 mW to 1 W. It is available as a single radio or as a pair.

Key features

  • FHSS link at up to 345 kbps with 32-bit CRC and ARQ retransmission for clean data at range.
  • Point-to-Point, Point-to-Multipoint, Store and Forward Repeater and Peer-to-Peer modes; mesh networking is a P900 feature.
  • USB-C with a built-in USB-to-UART converter and a mode switch, so you configure it with AT commands or PicoConfig without an extra adapter.
  • 6-pin JST-GH lead plugs straight into a Pixhawk TELEM port.
  • XT30 power input with an onboard high-voltage BEC accepting 7–35 V DC.
  • LED indicators for UART traffic, three-stage RSSI and the diagnostic port.

Specifications

  • Frequency: 410–480 MHz
  • Transmit power: 100 mW–1 W (20–30 dBm), software adjustable
  • Link rate: up to 345 kbps
  • Sensitivity: -113 dBm at 56 kbps to -103 dBm at 345 kbps
  • Input voltage: 7–35 V DC
  • Current draw: 45–98 mA receive, 2 A peak transmit
  • Antenna gain: 5 dBi
  • Weight: 51 g without antenna, 76 g with antenna

A link needs one radio on the aircraft and one at the ground station: order the pair for a new setup, or a single radio to replace a unit or add a node to a point-to-multipoint network. Confirm the 410–480 MHz band is permitted for your operation before buying; the P900 V2 covers 902–928 MHz instead.
