Product details

The Gemfan Vortex 20x13 is a 20-inch, 13-inch-pitch two-blade electric propeller in glass-fibre reinforced nylon, made for large electric fixed-wing aircraft and UAVs with high-power motors. It is sold as a single propeller in CW or CCW rotation.

Key features

  • Glass-fibre reinforced nylon: tougher and stiffer than plain nylon, so the blades resist bending under high thrust loads and keep their shape over time.
  • CFD-optimised blade profile: ultra-thin tips cut vortex losses and noise, and a frosted leading edge helps manage airflow at high RPM.
  • Six hole adapters included: 3, 3.17, 4, 5, 6 and 8 mm, to match the motor shaft or prop adapter.
  • Factory balanced: each propeller is dynamically balanced and inspected to keep vibration down.
  • 96.8 g per propeller: with a 31.5 mm hub disc and 12.7 mm centre thickness.

Specifications

  • Size: 20 x 13 in (diameter x pitch)
  • Blades: 2
  • Material: Glass-fibre reinforced nylon
  • Weight: 96.8 g
  • Hub disc diameter: 31.5 mm
  • Centre thickness: 12.7 mm
  • Centre hole: 6.35 mm (1/4 in)
  • Hole adapters: 3, 3.17, 4, 5, 6 and 8 mm
  • Rotation: CW or CCW (choose version)
  • Quantity: 1 propeller

Choose CCW for a standard-rotation motor, and CW, the reverse-rotation version, for a reverse-spinning motor or the opposite side of a counter-rotating twin. A 20x13 prop draws heavy current at full throttle, so check your motor maker's prop chart or measure with a wattmeter before the first flight.
