Product details
The Gemfan 1280 is a 12x8 two-blade propeller from Gemfan's glass-fibre nylon Electric range, for larger electric fixed-wing aircraft. It is sold singly, in standard CCW rotation.
Key features
- 12 in diameter with an 8 in pitch for strong thrust and a brisk cruise on larger airframes
- Glass-fibre reinforced nylon for rigidity and impact resistance with minimal flex under load
- Precision balanced to keep vibration and motor bearing wear down
- Six adapter rings (3, 3.17, 4, 5, 6 and 8 mm) to fit most shafts and prop adapters
- Suited to brushless motors in the 2820 to 3538 size range
Specifications
- Diameter: 12 in (305 mm)
- Pitch: 8 in
- Blades: 2
- Rotation: CCW, standard
- Weight: 24.2 g
- Recommended motors: 2820 to 3538 size

This standard-rotation prop suits a conventional nose-mounted tractor motor. A pusher mount or the second motor of a twin needs a reverse-rotation prop instead, so that opposite rotation cancels torque.
