Product details
The Gemfan 1280 is a 12x8 two-blade glow propeller for fixed-wing RC aircraft, moulded in glass-fibre reinforced nylon and sold singly. It is matched to .50 class glow (nitro) engines; the 8-inch pitch trades some static thrust for higher airspeed compared with a 12x6, suiting sport and aerobatic models.
Key features
- Glass-fibre reinforced nylon: stiffer and tougher than unfilled nylon props
- Sized for .50 class glow engines
- 6mm hub bore; no adapter rings included
- Higher pitch than the 12x6 for faster level flight
Specifications
- Size: 12 x 8 in (diameter x pitch)
- Blades: 2
- Material: Glass-fibre reinforced nylon
- Hub bore: 6mm
- Weight: 46.1g
- Engine class: .50 glow

Check the Rotation option before ordering. CCW is the standard rotation: viewed from the front of the aircraft the prop turns anticlockwise, as a conventionally mounted glow engine does in a nose (tractor) installation. CW is the reverse-pitch type used for pusher installations. Confirm the 6mm bore suits your engine's crankshaft and balance the prop before its first run.
