AOS RC Supernova 1404 4000KV Brushless Motor (Set of 4)

The AOS RC Supernova 1404 4000KV is a 3–4S micro motor designed by motor tester Chris Rosser and manufactured by RCinPower, supplied here as a set of four. It is built for sub-250 g cinewhoops, 3-inch freestyle quads and 4-inch micro long-range builds running 2.5–4 in props.

Key features

• Magnetic design tuned for 2.5-inch bullnose and 3-inch tri-blade props, rated by the maker at about 25% more thrust than other 1404 motors

• Thicker flux ring and fine-tuned magnet overhang add around 30% torque, which helps heavier bullnose cinewhoop props change speed quickly

• Efficiency on par with the most efficient 1404 motors despite the extra power, while the moderate KV limits heat at full throttle

• 7075 aluminium bell and base, N52H arc magnets and Japanese bearings

• Single-strand windings with insulation rated to 260°C
