This is an A2212 1000 KV brushless outrunner motor designed for multirotor drones or RC planes using propellers in the 8-inch to 10-inch range. Best paired with 2-S to 3-S LiPo batteries and a 30 A ESC for balanced thrust, efficiency and durability.
1000 KV rating delivers about 1000 RPM per volt, offering a compromise between torque for larger props and responsiveness for agile flight.
Shaft diameter of 3.17 mm with matching prop adapter compatible with standard 5-mm-bore-style props.
Lightweight bell (≈ 60-65 g motor only), with full kit including adapter and mount hardware under 75 g.
Efficient current draw between 4-10 A; max continuous current ~12-13 A on 2-3 cell LiPo.
No-load current ~0.5 A at 10 V; internal resistance ~0.090 Ω helping lower losses under load.
Mounting hole pattern of both 16 mm and 19 mm with M3 screws (common to 22-xx sized motors), enabling compatibility with many 5-inch freestyle or photography quad frames.
Model: A2212 1000 KV
KV: 1000 RPM/V
Input Voltage: 2-3 S LiPo
Weight: ~ 60-65 g (motor only)
Dimensions: ~ 27-28 mm diameter × ~ 28-30 mm bell length
Shaft Diameter: 3.17 mm
Internal Resistance: ≈ 0.090 Ω
No-Load Current: ~ 0.5 A @ 10 V
Continuous Current: ~ 12-13 A; efficient range: 4-10 A
Poles: 14
Use this motor in builds with total all-up weight under ~ 1.2-1.5 kg, and props like 10×4.5 or 11×4.7” to stay within safe current range. A 30 A SimonK-type ESC is recommended to handle startup current. Be sure your frame supports 16 mm or 19 mm hole spacing with M3 bolts. Best choice when you want strong lift for photography rigs or long-endurance flight without jumping into high-KV noise.
