Telemetry Radios

Telemetry radios give a ground station a two-way MAVLink link to an ArduPilot or PX4 autopilot, so Mission Planner or QGroundControl can show live position, battery and flight status, change parameters and upload missions in flight. A kit is an air unit for the flight controller and a ground unit for the laptop or tablet.

Match the frequency band at both ends, 433 MHz or 915 MHz, and check which band is permitted where you fly. 100 mW SiK radios suit bench work and short-range testing; 500 mW to 1 W radios, RFD900 and Microhard modules cover longer ranges with good antennas.
