FlySky Radio Transmitters
FlySky FS-i6 series radios are the budget 2.4GHz transmitters that most Indian DIY quads, F450 builds, college projects and trainer planes start on — 6 to 10 channels, AFHDS 2A telemetry and a receiver in the box. This page collects every FlySky transmitter in our Radio Transmitters range. Choose by channel count and receiver: the FS-i6 and FS-i6X with 6 channels (10 with the iA10B receiver and a firmware tweak), the FS-i6S with 10 channels and a touchscreen, and the CT6B and FS-T6 for planes and helicopters.
How to choose a FlySky radio
FlySky radios use the AFHDS 2A protocol with two-way telemetry on the i-series and the older AFHDS on the CT6B and T6; receivers must match the protocol. All of them run on four AA cells.
- FS-i6: the classic 6-channel radio with the FS-iA6B receiver (PPM, iBus and PWM outputs); community firmware unlocks 10 channels.
- FS-i6X: the same radio with the FS-iA10B 10-channel receiver, 6 channels stock and 10 with the firmware update, iBus and SBUS-compatible output.
- FS-i6S: 10 channels, touchscreen, phone-style layout, with the FS-iA10B receiver.
- FS-i4X: 4 channels with the FS-A6 receiver for cars, boats and simple planes.
- CT6B and FS-T6: 6-channel radios with the FS-R6B receiver, programmed over USB (CT6B) or from the screen (T6); popular trainer and helicopter radios.
- FS-GT2: 2-channel pistol-grip radio with the FS-GR3E receiver for RC cars and boats.

Compatibility
The iA6B and iA10B receivers connect to Betaflight, INAV, ArduPilot and Pixhawk flight controllers over iBus (one wire, all channels) or PPM, and to KK2 and APM boards over PWM. Range is around 1km line of sight, adequate for DIY quads and trainers but not for FPV long range; for that, ELRS radios are on the Radio Transmitters page.
Bind by holding the receiver's bind button at power-up with the transmitter in bind mode; the i6 series shows receiver voltage and RSSI on screen once telemetry is connected.
Frequently asked questions
- FlySky FS-i6 or FS-i6X?
- FS-i6X — it is the same radio but ships with the 10-channel FS-iA10B receiver and updated firmware. The FS-i6 with the FS-iA6B is fine if the price gap matters; both can run 10 channels with community firmware.
- How do I connect a FlySky receiver to a flight controller?
- Use iBus: one wire from the receiver's iBus servo port to a UART RX pad on the flight controller, then select iBus as the receiver protocol in Betaflight, INAV or ArduPilot. PPM works on older boards.
- Does the FlySky FS-i6 work for FPV drones?
- Yes for line-of-sight and short-range FPV on DIY quads; its range is around 1km and there is no low-latency mode. For serious FPV, an ELRS radio like the RadioMaster Pocket or Boxer is the better buy.
