Li-ion Drone Batteries

Li-ion drone batteries store more energy per gram than LiPo but deliver less current, which makes them ideal for long range quads, fixed-wings and survey UAVs that cruise rather than punch. Choose the cell first: the Molicel P45B and P42A are 21700 cells for capacity and current, the P28A an 18650 for lighter packs. Then pick the layout: in a pack such as 6S2P, the S number sets voltage (3.6V nominal per cell) and the P number multiplies capacity and current, so match S to your ESC and motors and P to your cruise current and flight time. Packs from 1S to 12S come with XT60 or XT90 anti-spark plugs.
