RadioMaster makes the widest range of ExpressLRS receivers: 2.4GHz nano receivers for quads, dual-band and true-diversity receivers for long range, 915MHz Bandit receivers, and PWM receivers with servo outputs for fixed-wings and rovers. Choose by band (2.4GHz for most builds, 915MHz for penetration and extreme range, dual-band for both), by antenna configuration, and, for planes, by how many PWM channels you need.
How to choose a RadioMaster ELRS receiver
All ExpressLRS receivers bind to any ELRS transmitter module on the same band, so the choice is about size, antennas and outputs rather than compatibility.
- Nano receivers (RP1 V2, RP3 V2, XR1 Nano): 0.5–1g with a ceramic or wire antenna, for whoops, toothpicks and 5-inch quads. RP3 and XR1 Nano add a second antenna or a TCXO for better range.
- True diversity (RP4TD, XR4 Gemini): two receivers and two antennas for long range and cinelifter builds; Gemini mode uses both simultaneously.
- Dual-band (XR1 Nano Dual-Band, XR4 Gemini Xrossband, DBR4): 2.4GHz and 900MHz on one receiver — switch bands from the radio to suit the flight.
- PWM receivers (ER3C-i, ER4, ER5A/ER5C, ER6, ER6GV, ER8, ER8G): 3 to 8 servo outputs for fixed-wings, VTOL and surface models; the GV variants add voltage sensing, the G variants a gyro.
- 915MHz (Bandit BR3): long range and better penetration, for use with a 915MHz Bandit module.

Compatibility
ELRS receivers bind to ELRS transmitters on the same band: any RadioMaster radio with a built-in ELRS module (Pocket, Boxer, TX16S ELRS variants, TX12, Zorro) or an external ELRS module. Receivers ship with current firmware and bind by phrase through the ExpressLRS Configurator or by the three-power-cycle method.
Wire nano receivers to a UART at 5V (CRSF protocol); PWM receivers connect servos directly and can output SBUS or CRSF from one pin for a flight controller.
Frequently asked questions
- Do RadioMaster ELRS receivers work with other brands' ELRS radios?
- Yes. ExpressLRS is an open standard; any 2.4GHz ELRS receiver binds to any 2.4GHz ELRS transmitter, whether RadioMaster, BetaFPV, Happymodel or a DIY module. Only the band must match.
- RP1, RP3 or RP4TD — which receiver for a 5-inch quad?
- RP1 V2 or RP3 V2 for freestyle and racing at normal ranges; RP3 adds a second antenna. RP4TD's true diversity is for long range, cinelifters and anything flown behind obstacles.
- What is a PWM ELRS receiver for?
- Fixed-wings, gliders, boats and cars that drive servos directly without a flight controller. The ER series outputs 3 to 8 PWM channels and can also send SBUS or CRSF to a flight controller if you add one later.
