Product details
The Holybro PM08-CAN is a high-current DroneCAN power module for heavy-lift multirotors, industrial UAVs and robotics platforms built around Pixhawk-class autopilots. It powers the autopilot from a 2S to 14S pack and reports battery voltage, current draw and module temperature digitally over CAN instead of through an analog signal.
Key features
- 200 A continuous rating with 400 A burst for 1 second and 1000 A for under 1 second
- Current sensing up to 376 A through a galvanically isolated, AEC-Q100 Grade 1 qualified sensor IC
- Two independent BEC circuits for redundant autopilot power, 3 A max
- Separate sensor and BEC boards keep electrical noise out of the measurements
- Aluminium heat-dissipating housing for sustained high-load operation
- One Molex CLIK-Mate 2 mm 6-pin lead carries both power and CAN data to the autopilot
Specifications
- Input voltage: 7-60 V (2S-14S LiPo)
- Continuous current: 200 A
- Burst current: 400 A for 1 s, 1000 A for under 1 s (at 25°C)
- Max current sensing: 376 A
- BEC output: 3 A max, dual independent circuits
- Telemetry: Voltage, current and temperature over DroneCAN
- Autopilot connector: Molex CLIK-Mate 2 mm 6-pin
- Dimensions: 45 x 41 x 26 mm (excluding cable)
- Weight: 185 g (including cable)
- Battery side: XT90 connector or tinned wires, by option
Choose the XT90 option for plug-in packs, or tinned wires to solder your own high-current connector. Set it up as a DroneCAN battery monitor in PX4 or ArduPilot; an analog power-module input will not read it.
