Product details

The Hobbywing UBEC 25A HV is a switching-mode servo BEC that draws power from a 3–18S LiPo main pack (9–80 V) and steps it down to a stable rail for receivers and servos. It is made for large helicopters, fixed-wing aircraft and heavy-lift multirotors that run several high-torque servos or a payload release straight off the flight pack.

Key features

  • Selectable output: 5.2, 6.0, 7.4 or 8.4 V to match standard or high-voltage servos.
  • 50 A peak on top of the 25 A continuous rating, shared across eight parallel output channels.
  • Backup input: a 1–2S LiPo on the backup leads keeps the receiver and servos powered if the main supply or the UBEC fails.
  • Shoot-through protection stops main-pack voltage reaching the outputs if the regulator is damaged, alongside over-current, short-circuit, over-temperature and low-voltage cutoff protection.
  • Over 90% conversion efficiency, aluminium alloy case for heat dissipation and lower EMI, external on/off switch and LED status for the backup supply.

Specifications

  • Main input: 3–18S LiPo (9–80 V)
  • Backup input: 1–2S LiPo (3–9 V)
  • Output voltage: 5.2 / 6.0 / 7.4 / 8.4 V, selectable
  • Output current: 25 A continuous, 50 A peak
  • Outputs: 8 parallel channels
  • Efficiency: over 90%
  • Main input leads: 16 AWG, 270 mm
  • Backup input leads: 16 AWG, 150 mm
  • Dimensions: 55 × 40.2 × 17.6 mm
  • Weight: 74 g

Set the output by the lowest-rated device on the rail: 7.4 V and 8.4 V are for high-voltage servos and receivers rated for them, while 5.2 V or 6.0 V suits standard servos.
