Product details
The GEPRC Triple Feed Patch Array is a high-gain, circularly polarised 5.8GHz directional antenna for long-range FPV video. It takes the Triple Feed Patch design and arranges seven coupled patches into an array, trading a wide beam for reach, so it belongs on a ground station or goggles pointed at a long-range quad rather than on everyday freestyle sessions.
Key features
- Seven coupled patches give about 14 dBi of gain in a narrow beam roughly 30° wide
- Coupled-patch feed keeps the feed network simple, cutting the losses that usually hold array antennas back
- Very good axial ratio both straight ahead and off-axis, so circular polarisation holds up when the quad is not dead centre in the beam
- Very low side lobes concentrate the energy in the main lobe
- Supplied with an adapter cable for connecting to your receiver or goggles
Specifications
- Frequency: 5.8GHz band
- Type: Directional patch array, 7 coupled elements
- Polarisation: Circular
- Gain: Approx. 14 dBi
- Half-power beamwidth: Approx. 30°
- Package: 1 × antenna, 1 × adapter cable
With a beam only about 30° wide, the antenna has to stay aimed at the aircraft: mount it on a tracker, or pair it with an omni on a diversity receiver so you keep video when the quad leaves the beam. Match its polarisation handedness to the antenna on your video transmitter.
