CubeMars AK70-10 KV100 Robot Actuator

The CubeMars AK70-10 KV100 is a robot-joint actuator that combines a brushless motor, a 10:1 planetary reducer, a 14-bit magnetic encoder and, in the With Driver version, its driver board in one Ø89 × 50.25 mm unit. It suits legged robots, robotic arms, exoskeletons and lab test rigs where a single bolt-on joint is simpler than pairing a separate motor, gearbox and controller.

• 24.8 N·m peak torque — 8.3 N·m rated, at 310 rpm on 48 V or 148 rpm on 24 V.

• Driver on board (With Driver version; the Without Driver version needs an external driver) — takes DC power plus CAN or UART commands directly, with no external motor controller to wire in.

• Four control modes — position, speed, torque and MIT hybrid mode, which sends position, velocity, feed-forward torque and gains in one command.

• 0.2° backlash — low joint play from the planetary stage for repeatable positioning.

• Closed-loop feedback — the 14-bit magnetic encoder reports position to the driver.

Set the CAN ID, calibrate the encoder and tune the control loops with the CubeMars RUBIK LINK V2.0 debugger and CubeMars' PC software. Size the power supply for the 23.2 A peak draw of each joint.
