Budget for a 3S battery and a charger: the kit is specified around a 3S 5200mAh Li-ion pack, and a 3S LiPo of similar capacity also suits. APM 2.8 is legacy hardware: ArduCopter 3.2.1 is the last release it runs, and GPS modes such as position hold need an external GPS/compass module, which this kit does not include.
