Product details

A compact 40mm brushless gimbal motor wound for smooth, high-torque control at low speed — the job of a camera gimbal axis, a pan-tilt head or a small robotic joint. It is rated 467RPM nominal at 12V and comes in two versions: bare, for open-loop brushless gimbal controllers, or fitted with an AS5048A magnetic encoder for closed-loop position control.

Key features

  • 0.09N·m nominal and 0.15N·m stall torque from a 40 x 16mm motor
  • Encoder version carries an AS5048A 14-bit absolute magnetic angle sensor, so the driver knows rotor position from power-up
  • 11 pole pairs and a 40-turn winding give a 117rpm/V speed constant and 0.08N·m/A torque constant
  • 6.34Ω phase-to-phase resistance keeps current modest — 1.1A nominal, 1.9A at stall
  • Works from -20°C to 80°C, with a 120°C maximum demagnetisation temperature

Specifications

  • Nominal voltage: 12V
  • Speed: 467RPM nominal, 1610RPM maximum
  • Torque: 0.09N·m nominal, 0.15N·m stall
  • Current: 1.1A nominal, 1.9A stall
  • Speed constant: 117rpm/V
  • Torque constant: 0.08N·m/A
  • Phase-to-phase resistance: 6.34Ω
  • Phase-to-phase inductance: 1.08mH
  • Pole pairs: 11
  • Winding: 40T
  • Rotor inertia: 56g·cm²
  • Size: 40 x 16mm
  • Weight: 58.3g without encoder, 71g with encoder
  • Encoder (encoder version): AS5048A magnetic, 14-bit absolute
  • Operating temperature: -20°C to 80°C

Pick the encoder version for robotics or any closed-loop FOC driver that needs shaft-angle feedback; the bare motor suits standard brushless gimbal controllers that stabilise from an IMU alone.
