The Maple Wireless Strigiformes 5.8G is a compact directional patch antenna with 11 dBi gain and right-hand circular polarisation, made to mount directly on FPV goggles or a ground receiver with an SMA port. It focuses reception into a forward beam to stretch the range of 5.8 GHz analog video.

A patch only covers the sky in front of you, so on a diversity receiver run it alongside an omni for close-in flying. Channels above 5800 MHz, such as the upper Raceband channels, fall outside its rated range.
