Product details

The Holybro DroneCAN Airspeed Sensor reads differential pressure from a pitot tube and reports airspeed to the flight controller over DroneCAN, the input ArduPilot and PX4 use for airspeed-based speed control and stall protection on planes and VTOLs. This version carries the DLVR-L10D sensor, with a 2500 Pa range covering airspeeds up to 226.8 km/h.

Key features

  • DLVR-L10D digital pressure sensor with CoBeam technology: under 1% error and low temperature drift
  • 14-bit pressure resolution
  • STM32G473CE processor running ArduPilot AP_Periph firmware, so it shows up as a standard DroneCAN airspeed node
  • Works with any ArduPilot or PX4 flight controller that has a CAN port
  • Durable aluminium shell

Specifications

  • MCU: STM32G473CE, 170 MHz, 128 KB RAM, 512 KB flash
  • Sensor: DLVR-L10D
  • Pressure range: 2500 Pa
  • Burst pressure: 75 kPa
  • Airspeed range: 0–226.8 km/h (141 mph)
  • Accuracy: under 1% error
  • Firmware: AP_Periph (DroneCAN)
  • Interface: CAN, standard 4-pin connector
  • Supply: 4.75–5.25 V, about 100 mA
  • Operating temperature: −20 to 85 °C
  • Dimensions: 29 × 35.5 × 16.5 mm (module); 91.5 × 28 × 30 mm (pitot tube)
  • Weight: 38.3 g with pitot tube and tubing

Mount the pitot tube where it sees clean, undisturbed airflow, away from propeller wash. For airframes that fly faster than 226 km/h, Holybro's DLVR-L20D version extends the range to 5000 Pa and 320 km/h.
