14-String 1.2A Inductive Active Balancer Board for Li-ion/LiFePO4

An inductive active balancer for 2S–14S lithium packs, including the larger series counts used on heavy-lift and ground-equipment packs. Instead of burning off surplus charge as heat like a passive balance circuit, it transfers energy between neighbouring cells, keeping a big series-parallel Li-ion or LiFePO4 pack matched through charge and discharge.

Key features

• Adjacent-cell balancing: switches on when neighbouring cells differ by 0.1V and stops once they are within 0.03V.
• Up to 1.2A balancing current: reached at a 0.2V difference or more; at 0.1V it moves around 0.5–0.7A, depending on cell capacity and internal resistance.
• Two chemistries: works with ternary lithium (Li-ion) and LiFePO4 cells across a 2.0–4.5V per-cell range.
• Status LED: steady while balancing, off when idle, flashing on a circuit fault.
• Conformal-coated board: a protective coating guards against moisture, dust, corrosion and leakage.

This is a balancer, not a protection board, so pair it with a BMS for over-charge, over-discharge and short-circuit cut-off. Wire the harness from B- (the first cell's negative) up through each cell's positive tap, and check every tap with a multimeter before plugging it into the board.
