F450 & S500 Drone Motors

Brushless motors for F450, F550 and S500 quadcopter and hexacopter frames, the classic DIY builds for learning, ArduPilot projects and light payloads. Most use a 2212 to 2216 stator at 800–1000KV and swing 9- to 10-inch props on 3S or 4S, with 2312 motors for a little more thrust; the DYS D28 and D35 outrunners also suit larger quads and RC planes. Match KV to your battery and prop: lower KV with bigger props on 4S, higher KV with smaller props on 3S. Pair each motor with a 20–30A ESC, and check the shaft, self-locking or threaded, against your props.
