Roll-Wrapped Carbon Fiber Tube 1000mm, 10-50mm OD

Roll-wrapped carbon fibre tube in a full 1000mm length, offered in fifteen outer × inner diameter combinations from 10 × 9mm up to 50 × 46mm. Cut it to length for multirotor arms and booms, landing-gear legs, agricultural spray booms, antenna masts and frame stand-offs where aluminium tube would add weight.

Key features

• High-modulus T700 unidirectional prepreg, laid up on a mandrel in several layers, spiral-wrapped with heat-shrink tape and oven cured.
• Fibres run along the tube for maximum bending stiffness; it is weaker across its diameter, so spread clamp loads with full-width clamps or sleeves instead of point-loading it.
• Wall thickness of 0.5mm, 1mm, 1.5mm or 2mm depending on size: thicker walls for load-bearing arms, thin walls for light booms and masts.
• Woven-pattern outer finish, UV stable and corrosion resistant.
• Can be cut and drilled with suitable carbon-cutting tools; wear a dust mask, as carbon dust is harmful to breathe.
