304 stainless is softer than high-tensile 12.9 alloy steel, so on crash-prone freestyle quads 12.9 screws are the tougher choice for motor mounting, while these stainless screws suit plates, mounts and accessories where corrosion resistance matters more. Choose motor-screw length so the screw engages the motor base by a few millimetres without reaching the windings.
